upload_file Sending a document for signature

  1. Create an account at sign.dendat.ai/register — it's free, no credit card.
  2. Click New and upload your PDF (a contract, agreement, form — anything).
  3. DenSign automatically finds the signature, date, name and other fields. On the Prepare screen you can drag to move them, add or delete fields, and set each field's type.
  4. Fields highlighted amber with a “!” were auto-detected with lower confidence — give those a quick check and adjust if needed. A banner at the top jumps you to them.
  5. Add your signer(s) — name and email. For multiple signers you can set the order they sign in.
  6. Click Send. Each signer gets an email with a secure link.
Tip: Save a document you send often as a Template so the fields are already placed next time.

draw Signing a document you received

You don't need an account to sign. When someone sends you a document:

  1. Open the email and click Review & Sign.
  2. Scroll through the document and fill in the highlighted fields.
  3. At a signature field, choose one of three ways to sign:
    • Draw — sign with your mouse or finger
    • Type — type your name and pick a signature style
    • Upload — upload an image of your signature
  4. When every required field is complete, click Finish. Done — everyone receives the signed copy automatically.
On your phone? Signing works fully on mobile — drawing with your finger is supported.

verified The signed copy & certificate

When a document is completed, DenSign produces a final PDF that includes a Certificate of Completion page — it lists every signer, the date and time each person signed, and a unique verification code. Download it from the document's page. This certified copy is your official record.

fact_check Verifying a document is genuine

Anyone — a bank, a counterparty, an auditor — can confirm a DenSign document is authentic and hasn't been altered, without an account:

  1. Go to sign.dendat.ai/verify.
  2. Enter the verification code shown on the document's certificate page.
  3. You'll see “Authentic & unaltered” with the document title, completion date, and signers.

quiz Frequently asked questions

Are DenSign signatures legally binding?

Yes. Every signature is recorded with the exact date and time it was made, and each completed document comes with a certificate and a verification code that prove it hasn't been changed.

Do my signers need an account?

No. They just click the link in their email and sign in the browser. Only the person sending a document needs an account.

Can I sign on my phone?

Yes — the whole signing experience works on mobile, including drawing your signature with your finger.

What kinds of files can I upload?

PDF documents. DenSign reads the page and automatically places the fields for you.

Can I use DenSign with scanned documents?

Yes. If your PDF is a scan (a picture of a page), DenSign automatically reads it to find the signature and date areas for you.

How do reminders work?

DenSign automatically emails signers who haven't finished — first after a couple of days, then periodically, up to a few times. You can also remind manually anytime.

Is my document data private?

Yes. Only the people you invite can open a document, and your files are never handed to any outside AI service — everything happens inside DenSign.

I'm a developer — can I automate this?

Yes, on the Business plan. Create an API key under API Keys and see the developer documentation for the REST API and webhooks.
