Help and user guide
Everything needed to send documents for signature, sign one you have received, and verify a completed document. No technical knowledge assumed.
01 / SENDING
Sending a document for signature
- Create an account at /register. It is free and takes no card.
- Press New and upload your PDF: a contract, an agreement, a form, anything.
- DENSIGN finds the fields for you: signature, date, name and the rest. On the Prepare screen you drag to move them, add or delete fields, and set each field's type.
- Fields marked amber with an exclamation were detected with lower confidence. Check those and adjust if needed; a banner at the top jumps you to them.
- Add your signers by name and email. With more than one signer you can set the order they sign in.
- Press Send. Each signer receives an email with their own secure link.

Tip. Save a document you send often as a Template so the fields are already placed next time.
02 / SIGNING
Signing a document you received
You do not need an account to sign. When someone sends you a document:
- Open the email and press Review and Sign.
- Scroll through the document and fill in the highlighted fields.
- At a signature field, choose one of three ways to sign:
- Draw with your mouse or finger
- Type your name and pick a signature style
- Upload an image of your signature
- When every required field is complete, press Finish. Everyone on the document receives the signed copy.

03 / TRACKING
Tracking and reminders
Your Dashboard shows every document and its status: Draft, Sent, Completed, Declined or Expired.
- DENSIGN reminds signers who have not signed, first after a couple of days and then periodically, so you are not chasing anyone by hand.
- You can also send a manual reminder from the document's page at any time.
- Documents left unsigned for a long time are marked Expired automatically.
04 / THE SIGNED COPY
The signed copy and its certificate
When a document completes, DENSIGN produces a final PDF with a Certificate of Completion page attached. The certificate lists every signer, the date and time each of them signed, and the verification code for the file. Download it from the document's page. That certified copy is your record.
05 / VERIFICATION
Verifying a document is genuine
Anyone holding the document, a bank, a counterparty or an auditor, can confirm it is authentic and unaltered without an account:
- Go to /verify.
- Enter the verification code printed on the certificate page.
- A match returns authentic and unaltered with the document title, completion time and signer names. A mismatch returns not found, and nothing else.

07 / QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Are DENSIGN signatures legally binding?
Yes. Every signature is recorded with the exact date and time it was made, and each completed document carries a certificate and a verification code that show it has not been changed since.
Do my signers need an account?
No. They open the link in their email and sign in the browser. Only the person sending a document needs an account.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes. The whole signing flow works on mobile, including drawing your signature with a finger.
What kinds of files can I upload?
PDF documents. DENSIGN reads the pages and places the fields for you.
Can I use DENSIGN with scanned documents?
Yes. If the PDF is a scan, that is a picture of a page rather than text, DENSIGN reads the image to locate the signature and date areas.
How do reminders work?
Signers who have not finished are emailed automatically, first after a couple of days and then periodically, up to a few times. You can also remind manually at any point.
Is my document data private?
Only the people you invite can open a document. Your files are not handed to any outside AI service; field detection runs inside DENSIGN on DENDAT hardware.
I am a developer. Can I automate this?
Yes, on the Business plan. Create an API key under API Keys and see the developer documentation for the REST API and webhooks.
Ready to get your first document signed?
